Shannon Derthick

Education Director

Shannon is originally from beautiful Boulder, Colorado. She received dual degrees in Integrative Physiology and a BFA in Digital Art from the University of Colorado followed by an MSc in Medical Arts from the University of Dundee, UK.

She is currently a Medical Illustrator at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. At the Medical College of Georgia, she has been active in educational initiatives with current students via scholarship review committee, judging graduate and undergraduate research week presentations, leading workshops in drawing neuroanatomy, and sharing experiences in the field as an invited guest speaker. Shannon is excited to lead educational initiatives for the GNSI.
