Three Ways to Give

  • Volunteer

As an entirely volunteer-run organization, we need YOU!

Gain new skills, meet inspiring colleagues, and contribute to the field by raising us all up!

    Direct Your Donations

    General Operating Budget

Though we are largely volunteer-run, we still have big bills! Your tax-deductible contribution to the General Operating Budget helps us pay our contractors who help run the Visual SciComm Conference, JNSI, and front office, buy web services, and pay printing costs for the journal. Thanks for helping to keep the lights on!

    Accessibility Grant Fund

Started in 2021 with a generous matching donation from GNSI Distinguished Service Member Britt Griswold, the Accessibility Grant Fund allows us to offer small grants to offset the costs of attending our events. Your donation here directly supports individuals at our events.

    Donald B. Sayner Student Scholarship

The Donald B. Sayner Student Scholarship supports 1-2 college students who show a determination to pursue scientific illustration as a career. Help us identify and support these promising young people.

Be a leader with a matching campaign!

We are always open to matching campaigns that inspire our community to give. If you are inspired by the work our members do and want to see us expand our footprint, work with us on a future matching campaign! We'd love to hear from you.

Every dollar donated builds a foundation for the future. It helps GNSI train those new to the profession, provide professional development opportunities to practitioners worldwide, and creates conversations between artists and scientists that further our understanding of the world around us.

Thank you for joining with others to help us reach even more people!
