Social Media Assistant for the GNSI Annual Conference Core Conference, Santa Cruz CA, July 3-6
So you’re interested in helping the world see what a GNSI conference is all about? Great! We are looking for someone who:
- is good at creating written and visual contents for the web.
- has social media experience, particularly with Facebook and Twitter. Experience means that you are active in these platforms and are very comfortable with adding links, videos, and pictures to the posts.
- is able to collaborate with the GNSI Social Media committee.
- you are experienced with live tweeting, i.e., you have attended conference sessions or similar events where you were summarizing and tweeting what the speaker was saying, occasionally attaching pictures of the presentation slides.
- you have live broadcasted before, using Periscope, Hangouts on Air or YouTube Live Events.
You would be participating in the GNSI core conference sessions and evening events, from July 3rd through the 6th, on the campus of the University of California, Santa Cruz CA. According to a prearranged schedule, you would be video recording and broadcasting live some sessions; you would also take pictures and short video snippets to include in tweets and Facebook posts that you would write and send.

You would be attending the core conference for free! Additionally, we are working on the possibility of offering housing and meals at no cost, or a stipend that you could use for this purpose or others.
