Application Process and Registration Fees
A requirement of the application process is providing a sample art submission. The applicants’ materials as a whole are reviewed to assess overall ability. Best efforts are made to make a good match between the level of instruction and our applicants’ ability in order to make the experience rewarding for all. It may not always be possible to include all applicants in the workshop due to the format of the class and the limited number of seats.
A deposit of $150 is required with application. Review of applications will not begin until the release of the February issue of the GNSI Newsletter (containing the print version of the application form). Applications must be received be April 30, 2008. You will receive notice as to your status by May 7, 2008. Final payment is not due until notice of acceptance is received. The registration fee for Week 1 Workshop A Drawing Small Mammals with Nancy Halliday. (Sunday June 15-Wednesday June 18) is $215 for GNSI members, $300 for non-members. There is limit of 12-16 participants.
The registration fee for Week 1 Workshop B Gouache and Colored Ink with Suzanne Wegener. (Wednesday, June 18-Saturday, June 21) is $215 for GNSI members, $300 for non-members. There is limit of 12-16 participants.
The registration fee for Mini Workshop Egg Tempera with Karen Ackoff. (Saturday, June 21) is $60 for GNSI members, $80 for non-members. There is limit of 12-16 participants.
The registration fee for Week 2 Workshop Integrating Foreground And Background in Watercolor Illustrations with Patricia Savage. (Saturday, June 22-Saturday, June 28) is $430 for GNSI members, $515 for non-members. There is limit of 12-16 participants.

Workshop Policy
Application.
No applications accepted after April 30. Applications must be accompanied by art samples and deposit. Review of applications will not begin until the release of the February issue of the GNSI Newsletter (containing the print version of the application form). Processing of the deposit will not occur until notice of acceptance. Applicants will receive notice of acceptance by May 7 by email or mail. Information packets and registration invoice indicating remaining payment will be included. If workshop becomes full, accepted applicants will be placed on a waiting list, and notified if a space becomes available.
Registration, Cancellation, and Refunds.
Upon notice of acceptance, final registration payment (total less the deposit amount) is due May 16, 2008.
If you are unable to attend and must cancel, please let us know as soon as possible so your spot can be made available for someone else. Registrations cancelled before May 7, 2008 will be eligible for a refund less $25 processing fee. Registrations cancelled after May 16, 2008 will be refunded less the costs for meals (your food will have been ordered by that time) and the $25 processing fee. In the case of emergency situations, refunds will be decided on case-by-case basis by the coordinator. No refunds will be given to registrants who do not show, or who attend only part of the paid workshop on choice.
Photography and Video Acknowledgment.
All registrants agree that his/her activity and likeness may be filmed, videotaped, and/or photographed during the workshop sessions for GNSI publicity or for educational purposes. These films, tapes, and photographs will remain the property of GNSI.
Liability Waiver.
All registrants must sign a liability waiver (part of application form). |
