The Pierce Cedar Creek Institute
The Pierce Cedar Creek Institute is a unique little gem, a privately-run ecological education/research station set in a beautiful area of Barry County, with 661 acres encompassing an amazing variety of habitats, flora and fauna. The station’s facilities are modern, comfortable, and in beautiful harmony with the surroundings. Check out the Institute’s website (www.cedarcreekinstitute.org) for more detailed habitat and facility information.

Within 20 miles of the station are a number of excellent outdoor venues, including a wonderful zoo, several nature preserves, state game areas, and Michigan State’s Biological Field Station (farm, bird sanctuary, forest), among other locations.

The charming mid-sized town of Hastings is just 10 miles down the road. The big city of Grand Rapids is about 36 miles away, with an international airport, some excellent shopping and dining, AND a very nice art store
