Accommodations and Meals
Accommodations for the GNSI Summer Workshop are offered right on site at the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute, in clean, modern dormitory housing within walking distance of the main building, well-lit education and laboratory classrooms, spacious dining room, and best of all: their extensive network of trails. Internet access (ethernet AND wireless!) is also available.
Fee for on-campus accommodations and meals packages includes top-notch meals prepared by a resident chef! Included are breakfasts, lunches and 4 dinners each week in the cafeteria, beginning with Sunday lunch and ending with the following Saturday lunch. Dinner will be 'on your own' for 2 nights each week; on those nights, transportation will be offered to nearby Hastings where a variety of dining choices is available. There is a kitchenette in the dormitory with a refrigerator, microwave, and limited cooking equipment (hot plate, not suitable for full meal cooking). You may select a lunches-only option if staying off-campus. See registration form for pricing.
For those looking for accommodation alternatives, there are nearby bed and breakfasts in the Hastings area (15 minutes away), a few hotels/motels (including a new hotel on Gun Lake about 20-25 minutes away), and several campgrounds. Search for Hastings-area accommodations online or contact the GNSI Summer Workshop Coordinator, Gail Guth.
