Reservations
A special group rate has been established for our event; mention the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators group rate when reservations by phone, or use the group rate code GNSI when reserving online. A reservations page has been created for us at: http://hiltongardeninn.hilton.com/en/gi/groups/personalized/IADFHGI-GNSI-20090326/index.jhtml. Double occupancy rate: $242.50+ tax per person (Thursday night through Monday night). Single occupancy rates: $89.00+ tax/night Thursday through Sunday, and $129+ tax/night Monday. To receive the special group rate, you must make reservations by March 5, 2009. These rates are based on allocated inventory and are subject to change in the event of low attendance. These are the very best rates to be had in the area during the onset of Cherry Blossom Season. Take advantage of this opportunity!!

All reservations must be guaranteed to a credit card or to company (if approved for billing). Any rooming list reservations not cancelled by 72 hours prior to arrival will be billed one night’s room and tax. Any individual reservations not cancelled by 4 p.m. on the day of arrival will be charged one night’s room and tax. All guests are asked to post a form of payment for incidental charges.

Meals

Breakfast is available at the hotel for an additional fee upon making a reservation; please ask about this option. Lunches and snacks will be brought in on-site at the museum and are included in the workshop registration fee. If you prefer, you can take your lunch to eat outside on the National Mall, or venture over to the Old Post Office Food Pavilion. NMNH Cafeteria is also open to grab an extra snack. Dinner will be “on-your-own” in the evenings. (An excursion to old town Alexandria is planned, weather permitting, for at least one evening of dinner together). Participants can find plenty of additional dining choices in and around DC, or near the hotel in Fairfax.
