Neil Dufton Ph.D, BSc

Member Bio.:

I am a full time research scientist at the Farncombe Digestive Health Research Institute in Canada. I graduated as a pharmcologist from the University of Bath and went on to focus on the mechanistic aspects of the inflammatory cascade. I have primarily worked with two anti-inflammatory mediators, Annexin A1 and hydrogen sulfide. Both projects were strongly focused towards understanding the roles these mediators play in cell function, particularly on the actions of neutrophils and macrophages. Recently I have decided to showcase my artistic abilities. Scientific illustration is a challenging but highly rewarding area. I work in three current compositions, pencil/pen and ink drawing, digital art and acrylic on canvas painting. All the relavent details can be found at www.notproperlydone.com.
