G. David Brown has been a medical illustrator since 1979, fulltime until 2005 primarily in Dallas, Texas. From '05 until the present, he has been the Illustration Program Director in the Department of Design at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. His most recent illustrated book, released in January of 2011, included 160 illustrations for "The Body in Motion: Its Evolution and Design" by Ted Dimon, Jr., Ed.D. It was recently awarded the top prize from the Association of Medical Illustrators in the "Illustrated Medical Book – Nursing /Allied Health" category at their annual salon of 2011.
