Scanning large format
Recently I scanned a 18"x24" color piece at Fed Ex that used to be Kinkos. I asked for a 300dpi full color scan. They put it through one of those large roller scans and charged me $8. I has it loaded onto a thumb drive and brought it home. Brought it up onto CS3 Photoshop, and tweaked the value here and there and bingo! It was just fine. so I'm doing that again. Maybe I was lucky with the quality of the machine, but it was a large format color scanner.
