I need a color printer that will give me excellent quality small reproductions (13 x 17 max, and even that may be more than I need). I'm thinking of using it for business cards, brochures (like trifolds), greeting cards, and small reproductions. I'm using an IMac OSX4.11, which may be living on borrowed time, so I need something that neither requires more up-to-date software than I have, nor which will end up being unsupported by the time I upgrade my computer. I would like to keep the cost to no more than $500, but don't know how realistic that is. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeanette

Color Printers- inkjet
For the size and Price you are interested in, I think an inkjet printer is what you need.
You should probably be looking at Canon, HP, and Epson printers. I think you can find a printer under $500, but ink will cost you more, so I am assuming you are after a low volume use printer.
There are several review sites out on the web that it would be worth looking at. Here is one:http://reviews.printcountry.com/
And this canon caught my eye:

Do google searches on"inkjet printer comparisons" and "inkjet printer reviews"

Thanks so much, Britt. I haven't made any decision yet, but the websites you suggested have been very helpful.
