If you are on a recent Mac computer, have a tablet for drawing, and want to have some fun, take a look at Sketchbook Copic Edition. The normal Sketchbook Pro is $29, but the Copic edition is free (but limited to Copic media) in the Mac App Store. If you were in Savannah you might have had a chance to see what Terryl Whitlatch can do with these makers. So if you are intrigued by the possibility of working virtually in this style, adapting it to your subject matter, give it a try.
For some inspiration and instruction, Terryl has a little venture going with online instruction at http://talesofamalthea.com/ - Sign up and check out the first instruction module for free. It was great to meet her at our National meeting, and she even sign a copy of her recent book (Animals Real and Imagined) for me!
Terryl has also blogged about her Savannah trip and the GNSI. You can see her entry on the Muddy Colors blog as well as a rather detailed drawing inspired by her trip to Savannah.
